'The president appears unhinged': Donald Trump's online behavior grows increasingly strange.

To many observers, domestically and overseas, the former president has been behaving strangely lately. Particularly on social media.

Recent Online Incidents

While a federal shutdown approached in the US the previous week, the president published a computer-generated clip which depicted the Democratic leader, the first Black House minority leader, donning a wide-brimmed hat and exaggerated moustache, featuring traditional Mexican music in the background.

Hispanic groups condemned the social media content labeling them "racist", "dangerous" and "reprehensible", yet Trump escalated, sharing another clip that featured him wearing a sombrero and playing the guitar with a representation of the minority leader.

AI-Generated Posts and Unverified Claims

This wasn't the sole instance wherein Trump's actions appeared strange. Last weekend Trump reposted to Truth Social a computer-created false clip that advocated "medical bed facilities".

Each US resident will shortly obtain a personal medical bed card," the computer-generated president ostensibly in the presidential office stated. "With it, you'll have assured entry to our recently established health centers managed by leading physicians in the nation."

Setting aside the fact that the notion of "therapeutic beds" represents a conservative conspiracy theory – one version of the theory posits that federal authorities and/or a group of wealthy Americans have access to medical bed-like devices capable of treating numerous diseases, yet are concealing the innovation – the social media entry caused multiple inquiries.

Administration Answer

The post was ultimately deleted, but it remains baffling, and the administration's reaction failed to reduce the confusion.

In my opinion, the president watched the footage and shared it, then removed it," the White House press secretary said during questioning about the clip.

Further Troubling Incidents

Through a current presentation in the presidential residence where Trump claimed – opposing current scientific consensus – that the medication could connect to autism spectrum if used by expectant mothers, Trump confusingly spoke of "certain elements of genius that could be provided to newborns".

The previous week, during a press conference with British prime minister Keir Starmer, Trump confused Armenia with Albania while talking about a peace agreement struck between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Michigan Incident Reaction

Regarding digital communications, the commander-in-chief shared via his preferred network that he "received information" about a shooting at a Latter-day Saint church in Michigan which killed four people.

He did indeed post again. But it was not an update on the still unfolding tragedy in Michigan. Rather, several hours afterwards, he posted footage that displayed multiple golden accessories and decorations.

Commanders Meeting

Apart from the puzzling digital conduct, the commander-in-chief's live presentations have also become odd.

The other day, Trump gathered America's premier defense officials for a gathering in Virginia. Addressing the top military brass, the president, appearing exhausted, touted his alleged successes.

The United States is esteemed once more as a country. We were not respected with Biden," Trump stated. "They looked at him falling down stairs every day. Repeatedly, the person trips on stairways."

Political Reactions

The speech generated instant worry, involving ex-defense officials. Barry McCaffrey, a retired general told MSNBC that the commander-in-chief's delivery was "one of the most bizarre, unsettling events I've ever encountered".

"The commander-in-chief appeared disjointed, exhausted, highly divisive, sometimes unintelligent," the general stated.

The president's address sufficed for Representative Madeleine Dean, a Democratic lawmaker from Pennsylvania, to challenge the GOP House leader, the House speaker.

"The president is unhinged. He seems unhealthy," the representative stated to Johnson.

Johnson appeared unconcerned regarding the statements. "Well many individuals in your camp seem likewise," Johnson responded.
